Belinda Burnside, ND (Aus), BSc, M.Ost, Grad Dip Vet Chiro. has worked in holistic medicine for 13 years.  Coming from a female lineage of South Pacific Island herbalists she felt a natural calling into the profession from a young age. While studying naturopathy she realized her affinity towards massage therapy. She integrated deep tissue and sports massage into her naturopathic treatment regime, also including herbal medicine, food as medicine, iridology and Bush/Bach flower remedies.  Being both a student and instructor of Taoist Tai Chi, Belinda found that the principles of Taoist Tai Chi and osteopathy overlapped.  Both share the principles of the interrelationship of structure and function and emphasize patient education and exercise rehabilitation. Each discipline also views the body as a whole, self-healing unit. After completing her osteopathic studies Belinda worked from two integrated medical clinics in Melbourne, Australia, one specializing in women's health. She also completed a Graduate Diploma of Veterinary Chiropractics and enjoys working with horses.  Now a Petaluma resident with her husband and their two children, Belinda is expanding her osteopathic approach with ongoing study and courses in Biodynamic Osteopathy in the Cranial Field.  She is delighted to join the team at Sky Hill institute to share her passion for health and wellbeing both as an instructor and as a practitioner of Osteopathic Manual Therapy.  Classes taught: Physiology.
